A Taste of Home, Born in Berlin

Food has always been more than just nourishment — it’s a story, a memory, and a feeling.
                 For me, Kalyani, the founder of                           Kalyani’s Kitchen, every dish tells the story of my childhood in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu — of early mornings filled with the aroma of roasted spices, of watching my mother grind masalas by hand, and of family gatherings where food was love in its purest form.

Those moments shaped my understanding of what good food truly means: honest, home-   cooked, and made with care.

When I moved to Berlin, I carried those memories with me — along with my spice box and a deep craving for authentic Chettinad flavors. But I soon realized that while Berlin offered global   cuisines, the taste of my home — fiery, aromatic, soulful Tamil food — is missing.

So I decided to bring it here.
